Life Drawing.
I’ve been meaning to take up life-drawing for ages. My illustration work is almost entirely devoid of people and characters, and I need to address that. Life-drawing classes set like a decent way to start. I hadn’t done any life-classes since college twenty five years ago, so I knew it was going to be tough.
I’d forgotten just how much fun, and how invigorating it is to be in a learning environment though, it more than made up for the frustration of how difficult life drawing is! One of the toughest things I had to deal with was working in charcoal, SO different from my usual pen and ink work.

Frosty Walk.
Out and about early this morning for a walk in my local park. Bushy Park covers 1100 acres and is just 18 miles SW of London. It’s pretty beautiful at any time of year, but with a hard frost and crystal clear skies it’s absolutely spectacular.

‘Weird-Field’ Spaceship time-lapse.
A quick process video of how I’ve been drawing these WF Spaceships. All very rough and sketchy, I’ll refine and redraw the ones that I like later on if I want to do something with them.
Drawn with Stabilo Point 88 + Copic SP Multiuliner + Sharpie in an Airship Notebooks sketchbook.
